I had the great pleasure of working with Andrew for many years, but, more importantly, I formed a legendary rhythm section with him in the staff band for the best part of two decades on and off. As I counted off the songs, I could see Andrew thinking, ‘That’s the wrong tempo!’ and Andrew could see me thinking, ‘You’ve forgotten how this song goes!’ We were more than the sum of our parts. Maybe we weren’t Collins/Stubblefield or JPJ/Bonham or Sly and Robbie, but definitely legends in our own lunchtimes. Great memories.
