I had the great pleasure of working with Andrew for many years, but, more importantly, I formed a legendary rhythm section with him in the staff band for the best part of two decades on and off. As I counted off the songs, I could see Andrew thinking, ‘That’s the wrong tempo!’ and Andrew could see me thinking, ‘You’ve forgotten how this song goes!’ We were more than the sum of our parts. Maybe we weren’t Collins/Stubblefield or JPJ/Bonham or Sly and Robbie, but definitely legends in our own lunchtimes. Great memories.

I remember when Andrew became head of CMPA and we worked together on and off many times. He listened and he was kind and knowledgeable, and he gave good advice. I have also seen him play and and he was a real guitarist and a musician's musician. A nice guy who will be fondly remembered.
